Margin Bets

Margin Bets are bets on the winning margin of an event between two teams. Margin Bets are usually offered on AFL, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Netball and Basketball games.

The following are examples of Margin Bet odds for Aussie Rules, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Basketball. Dividends for this bet type are usually around $1.90 for both teams.

• AFL - Collingwood v Geelong: 1-39, 40+ and Draw
• ARL - Canterbury Bulldogs v Brisbane Broncos: 1-12, 13+ and Draw
• Super 14 - Crusaders v Waratahs: 1-15, 13+ and Draw
• NBA - LA Lakers v Cleveland Cavaliers: 1-10, 11+

If you bet $10 on either Collingwood or Geelong at the 1-39 point margin at $1.90, your return will be $19 if either team's winning margin is between 1 and 13 points.

If you bet $10 on either Canterbury Bulldogs or Brisbane Broncos at the 13+ point margin at $1.90, your return will be $19 if either team's winning margin is more than 13 points.

If you bet $10 on the draw for the Crusaders and Waratahs match at $2.00, your return will be $20 if the match is declared a draw. Remember that when a Draw option is offered for Margin Betting, it will exclude any extra time that might be played.

Lastly, if you bet $10 on either LA Lakers of Cleveland Cavaliers at the 1-10 point margin at $1.90, your return will be $19 if either team's winning margin is between 1 and 10 points.
