2017 Triple Crown:142nd Preakness StakesMay 18, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland will host the 2nd jewel of the 2017 Triple Crown, the 142nd Preakness Stakes. It is a Grade I race that will cover 1900 meters of the dirt-surfaced Pimlico Race Course.

The 10-field horse race will be bannered by Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming. Always Dreaming will attempt to win the 2nd Triple Crown and earn a chance to duplicate American Pharoah's Triple Crown victory two years ago.

Always Dreaming will start at the No. 4 post while rival Classic Empire will be at the No. 5 post. With these two horses beside each other expect them to challenge each other from start to finish.

The other horses included in the field are:

  • Multiplier
  • Cloud Computing
  • Hence
  • Gunnevera
  • Term of Art
  • Senior Investment
  • Lookin at Lee
  • Conquest Mo Money

The horse race handicappers have installed Always Dreaming as the horse to beat on Saturday's 142nd Preakness Stakes at the Pimlico Race Course.
