On Thursday, the San Antonio Spurs will host Game 3 of their 1st round playoff series against the Golden State Warriors. Game time is set 9:30PM ET and will be played at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
San Antonio is down 2-0 in the series and are eager to solve their problems at their own backyard. The Spurs was lackadaisical in Game 1, but improved in Game 2.
Their two straight losses could be attributed to their offense. The Spurs' offense has sputtered in Games 1 and 2 with the lone bright spot inside the paint courtesy of LaMarcus Aldridge.
San Antonio needs to regroup in Game 3 and protect their home court. Another win by Golden State will be much harder for San Antonio if they fell 3-0 in the series. The Golden State Warriors has flipped the switch during their first two playoff games against San Antonio.
The Warriors has displayed its vaunted defense as Coach Steve Kerr has put its best 5 defensive players at the start of each game. He wants to control the game on the onset with their defense which was lacking during their last 17 games in the regular season.
Without Stephen Curry, the trio of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have hold the fort until Curry's return.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Golden State Warriors as a 3.5-point favorite to beat the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.
