April 24, 2013 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Essendon Bombers faces the Collingwood Magpies in Round 5 of the Australian Football League. Game time is set at 2:40PM local time and will be held at Melbourne Cricket Grounds.

The Essendon Bombers are one of three undefeated teams after 4 rounds in the AFL. They have won over Adelaide, Melbourne, Fremantle and St. Kilda. The Bombers must be ready when they face the equally dangerous Collingwood Magpies.

Essendon's Dustin Fletcher and Michael Hurley will miss the game against Collingwood as both players will have due to injuries they have sustained. However, the Bombers depth in their lineup will easily lessen the impact of their two injured players.

Collingwood knows that beating Essendon in Round 5 will be a confidence booster for the team. Sporting a 3-1 record, the Magpies main aim is to get the Bombers' first loss of the season.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Collingwood Magpies as an 8.5-point favorite to beat the Essendon Bombers on Thursday afternoon.
