2013 AFL Round 7: Geelong Cats vs. Essendon Bombers
May 08, 2013 by Marc Jerbs

On Friday, the Geelong Cats will play the Essendon Bombers in Round 7 of the Australian Football League. Game time is set at 7:50PM local time and will be played at the Etihad Stadium.

This game will feature two undefeated teams with the winner moving into solo 1st place in the ladder. It will be the test for both teams who have played well after six rounds.

The Geelong Cats showed last week their superb skills by a 44-point win over the Richmond Tigers. Last season, Geelong won over Essendon in Round 17 with a score of 134-67. The Cats do have the upper hand as they have won 10 of the last 12 matches against the Bombers.

The Essendon Bombers struggled against Great Western Sydney Giants last week. They were not impressive enough in this game compared to their previous games but they still got the win in the end. Essendon will have its key players back for their clash against Geelong and prove they are one of the favorites this season for the AFL title.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Geelong Cats as an 8.5-point favorite to beat the Essendon Bombers on Friday night.
