2013 PGA Tour of Australasia: Emirates Australian Open

On Thursday, the Royal Sydney Golf Club in New South Wales, Australia will host the Emirates Australian Open. It is the last tournament of the PGA Tour Australasia season which will end on Sunday.

Also to be awarded in this tournament is the Norman Vida Nida Order of Merit Medal. This award will be given to the golfer with the highest earnings over the last 12 months. The winner will receive a number of exemptions in international events such the Open Championship and World Golf Championship events.

Australia's top two players, Adam Scott and Jason Day, will be paired with American Kevin Streelman and will tee off at 7:10AM local time. Other marquee groups are the group of Rod Pampling, Robert Allenby and Craig Parry which will start at 7:00AM.

The group of Rory McIlroy, Geoff Ogilvy and Matthew Jones will start at 12:00PM.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Adam Scott as the favorite to win the Emirates Australian Open. Rory McIlroy and Jason Day are among his strongest competitors in the tournament.
