2014 Brisbane Racing Carnival: Doomben Cup

On Saturday, the Brisbane Racing Club will host the Doomben Cup at Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane, Australia. It is a Group 1 race for three-year olds and over, run under weight for age conditions. The race will cover 2000 meters of the racecourse.

The Doomben Cup is the 7th race of the day and will start at 3:40PM local time. The winner will receive A$320,000, second place will get A$100,000 and third place A$50,000.

The 10-field horse race will feature Hawkesbury Gold Cup winner Leebaz, 2012 Australian Oaks winner Streama and Hollindale Stakes runner up Mr O'Ceirin.

The horse racing handicappers have installed Leebaz and Streama as co-favorites to win the Doomben Cup. This race could be a mano-a-mano between the two world class thoroughbreds.
