2015 Melbourne Spring Carnival: Zipping Classic (Sandown Classic)
November 12, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the William Hill Park (Sandown Racecourse) in Melbourne, Australia will host the Zipping Classic. It is a Group II horse race held under weight for age conditions for horses aged three-year olds and up.

Each horse will cover a total race distance of 2,400 meters. The William Hill Park has long and slightly uphill straight which could be a daunting task for some horses. Sandown Classic was renamed as a tribute to Australian horse Zipping who had won the race four straight years from 2007 to 2010.

The 8-horse field will be led by Queen's Cup winner Dandino. Dandino will join other great horses such Rising Romance, Who Shot Thebarman and Tall Ship in the Zipping Classic.

The horse race handicappers have installed Dandino as the race favorite to win the Zipping Classic. Rising Romance and Who Shot Thebarman are the other strong contenders that could derail Dandino's triumph.
