2016 AFL Round 21: Western Bulldogs vs. Collingwood Magpies
August 11, 2016 by Marc Jerbs

On Friday, the Western Bulldogs will face the Collingwood Magpies in Round 21 of the 2016 Australian Football League. Game time is set 7:50PM AEST in Etihad Stadium.

Last week, the Western Bulldogs booked its slot in the AFL Finals after a victory over North Melbourne. The sixth-place Bulldogs will try to keep its slim chance to barge in the Top 4 of the ladder against the Magpies.

It is perfect time for the Western Bulldogs to strengthen their scoring proficiency against the undermanned Collingwood Magpies. 2014 top pick Tom Boyd was held scoreless in their fixture against North Melbourne. He will now have plenty of scoring opportunities this Friday against Collingwood.

The Collingwood Magpies won’t be able to reach the AFL Finals. Consistency has eluded Collingwood throughout the season. They could not sustain their offense and defense each game. Inconsistent plays and scoring opportunities have given the Magpies a lot of frustration as the season is about to end. All coach Nathan Buckley would ask for his players is to search that consistency that has eluded them with the remaining games.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Western Bulldogs as a 40-point favorite to beat Collingwood Magpies on Friday night.
