July 14, 2016 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the Melbourne Racing Club will host the Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia. The Sir John Monash Stakes is a Group 3 race held under weight for age conditions and will cover a total race distance of 1100 meters.

This Saturday's sprint race was named after World War I Australian commander, Sir John Monash. This race usually assembles a good field of sprinters where some of the entrants are coming off a winter break, former stars of the turf or up and coming horses gearing to test themselves.

The 16-field horse race will feature some of the well-known sprinters in Australia. Girl Guide will go for win No. 7 in twenty-two starts. Joining her are Fast 'N' Rocking, Wild Rain, Lord of the Sky and Atmospherical.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Fast 'N' Rocking as the favorite to win the Sir John Monash Stakes on Saturday noon.
