November 04, 2016 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the Victoria Racing Club will host the Emirates Stakes at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia. The Emirates Stakes is a Group 1 horse race run under weight for age conditions and will covers a total race distance of 2000 meters.

The Emirates Stakes is the 7th race of the day at Flemington Racecourse and start at 4:15PM local time. The 13-field horse race competition will be bannered by some of the best long distance runners. Vadamos did not win the Cox Plate but set one of the fastest run in the race and is clearly in form for the much shorter race this weekend.

Crystal Mile winner and 4th placer in the Cantala Stakes The United States will join Vadamos in the Emirates Stakes. This horse almost won the Cantala Stakes as he charged late in the race but fell short by a length. The United States is primed and ready for the 2000 meter distance based on his last two race performance.

The horse race handicappers have installed The United States as the horse to beat on Saturday's Emirates Stakes.
