2017 ATC Championships Carnival: Australian Derby

On Saturday, the Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, Australia will host the Australia Derby. The Australia Derby is the featured race included in the Australian Turf Club Championships Carnvial. It is a Group 1 race for three years olds on set weights and will cover a total race distance of 2,400 meters. Race time is set at 3:50PM local time.

A field of 13 will line-up and compete for the Australian Derby. New Zealand Derby and Rosehill Guineas winner Gingernuts will start at barrier 12 with jockey Opie Bosson on top. Randwick Guineas winner Inference will be guided by jockey Tommy Berry at barrier 4. Victoria Derby winner Prized Icon will have jockey Schofield as they start at barrier 6.

The race handicappers have installed Gingernuts as the horse to win on Saturday's Australian Derby. Inference and Jon Snow are the strongest challengers for Gingernuts.
