On Thursday, the Rod Laver Arena will host the semifinal round of the Australian Open Women's Singles competition. It will be double-header semifinal final match which starts at 10PM ET.

The first semifinal is an All-American affair between up and coming Coco Vandeweghe against veteran Venus Williams. Youngster Coco Vadeweghe barges into the semifinal round after defeating 7th seed Garbine Muguruza in straight set, 6-4 6-0. While Venus Williams defeated 24th seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 6-4 7-6.

The second semifinal will feature defending Australian Open champion Serena Williams against unranked Mirjana Lucic-Baroni. Mirjana Lucic-Baroni qualified in the semifinal round by upsetting 5th seed Karolina Pliskova 4-6 6-3 4-6. Serena Williams muscled her way against 9th seed Johanna Konta, 6-2 6-3.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Coco Vandeweghe and Serena Williams as the favorites to beat their respective semifinal opponents and book their spot in the Australian Open Finals.
