April 27, 2017 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the Eagle Farm Racecourse in Queensland, Australia will host the Victory Stakes as part of the 2017 Queensland Winter Racing Carnival. The Victory Stakes is a Group 2 race for horses aged three years and older.

It is a weight for age horse race that will cover a total race distance of 1200 meters of turf-surface racecourse. The total prize money for the race is set at A$200,000. The race participant from the race has only attracted 7 horses.

Sydney trainer Bjorn Baker has finally accepted to run Music Magnate after learning only a handful of horses were going to run. Yet, his decision might change if the quality of the turf surface will not dry out during race day.

Trainer Robert Heathcote will field Hopfgarten to challenge Music Magnate. Gary Moore-trained Takedown will also participate on Saturday's race. This troika of horses will be the main protagonist in the race.

The sprortsbook handicappers have installed Music Magnate as the horse to beat on Saturday's Victory Stakes.
