2018 FIFA World Cup

On Thursday, the 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup formally opens in Russia. Thirty two of the best men's national team will compete from June 14 up to July 15, 2018.

Russia automatically qualified for the World Cup as a host country while 31 other teams went through to various qualifying competitions.

The opening match will be host Russia against Saudi Arabia and will be held in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium. This is the largest stadium throughout Russia with a seating capacity of 80,000.

The 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups and the top two in each group will qualify in the round of 16. From Round of 16 toward the semifinals, it will be knockout game for every team.
