2018 NBL Australia: Perth Wildcats vs. Melbourne United
January 11, 2018 by Marc Jerbs

On Friday, the Melbourne United will travel to Perth Arena to face the Perth Wildcats in Round 14 of the 2017 NBL Australia. Game time is set at 9:30PM AEDT.

Melbourne United has a six-game winning streak and the hottest team in the NBL. Injuries to Casey Prather and David Andersen did not bother the team as they beat Sydney Kings (twice), Illawara Hawks (twice), Adelaide Sixers and Brisbane Bullets in succession. But they have yet to prove anything against Perth and New Zealand. Melbourne has already lost twice to Perth this season. A win over Perth will move them in first position in the standings.

The Perth Wildcats will return to Perth Arena after they moved out due to the hosting of the Hopman Cup tennis tournament over late December until first week of January. While there were away from home, they manage to have a 2-2 record and maintained they place at the top. They will have four of its first six games of the New Year at Perth Arena and will hope to remain at No. 1 with a win against Melbourne.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Perth Wildcats as a 3.5-point favorite to beat Melbourne United on Friday night.
