2019 NASCAR Cup Series: Daytona 500 February 14, 2019 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the 1st race of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series, the Daytona 500 will be held at the Daytona International Speedway. Known as "The Great American Race", it is considered as the most prestigious race on the NASCAR racing calendar.

The Daytona 500 is a 500-mile long race that will cover 200 laps of the Daytona International Speedway. Austin Dillon won last year's Daytona 500 and it would be tough to score a back-to-back win as other drivers are itching to get the Harley J. Earl Trophy in their hands.

Hendrick Motorsports' young drivers William Byron and Alex Bown locked the front row during the qualifying laps last Sunday.

They are the youngest front row drivers in Daytona 500 history. The rest of the teams will race again on Thursday to fill up the spots behind the two Hendrick Motorsports' drivers.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Kyle Busch as the race favorite to win the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
