On Thursday, top seed Kansas Jayhawks will face 16th seed Texas Southern Tigers in the 1st round of the 2022 College Basketball Tournament.

Game time is set 9:47PM EDT at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX.

The Kansas Jayhawks may have stumbled during the end of the regular season but refocused themselves to capture the Big 12 conference tournament and earned the top seed in the Midwest Region for this season's College Basketball Tournament.

Coach Bill Self downplayed themselves as favorites but believes every team in the tournament are good and challengers.

Texas Southern Tigers is fresh from a 76-67 win to qualify in the first round of the 2022 College Basketball Tournament and earned to face the top seed Kansas Jayhawks.

This is the 6th appearance of the Tigers in nine seasons and are up to the challenge to score an upset over the Jayhawks.
