2010 MLB Primetime Match:NY Yankees vs. Boston Red SoxApril 06, 2010 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the series between the NY Yankees and Boston Red Sox continues as both archrivals duke it out again at Fenway Park. On MLB season opening night, the Boston Red Sox outslug the NY Yankees for a 9-7 win.

It would be another pitcher's duel with Yankees' AJ Burnett against the Red Sox's Jon Lester on the mound. The partnership of battery mates Jorge Posada and AJ Burnett will be tested anew in this game.

Last season, the now famous Burnett emotional outburst against Posada was widely seen as a major crack in their professional partnership. With personal back up catcher Jose Molina moved on to a new team both Posada and Burnett have a lot more time to learn and feel each other during the Spring training.

Both Burnet and Posada did have a superb Spring training, there was no altercation of whatsoever, but during the regular season this could be a different story. Burnett is a highly emotional pitcher, if thing doesn't go his way, it affects his pitching. It is up to Posada to intervene and try to calm him down to regain his focus.

The baseball handicappers listed the Boston Red Sox as the slight favorite to give the NY Yankees their second consecutive loss of the season. However, let's not underestimate the heart and soul of the world champions.
