2011 NFL Preseason Week 3:Green Bay Packers vs.
Indianapolis ColtsAugust 24, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Friday, the Indianapolis Colts hosts the defending SuperBowl champion Green Bay Packers in Week 3 of the NFL Preseason. Game time is set at 8:00PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Games in the third week of the preseason are almost like a regular season game. Expect both teams to play its starters until the third quarter and eventually sent their 2nd and 3rd stringers in the payoff period.

Four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning will still not play for the Colts as he continues his fully recovery from a neck surgery last May. Coach Jim Caldwell has no choice but to set up his plays with the current player in the Colts' roster. Quarterbacks Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky are sharing the bulk of the snaps during the Colts' first two preseason game.

The defending champions Packers are slowly regaining their form as the preseason progresses. The Packers may limit their starters playing against the Colts to avoid unnecessary injuries. Even if with limited playing minutes expect the Packers to load it up against the Manning-less Colts this Friday.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Green Bay Packers as a 6-point favorite to beat the Indianapolis Colts this Friday. The Colts may have a chance for an upset win if they managed to stifle Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers.
