2012 College Football:Stanford Cardinal at
Washington HuskiesSeptember 25, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Stanford Cardinal faces the Washington Huskies for a PAC-10 North Division matchup. Game time is set at 9PM ET and will be held at the CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.

Two weeks after beating 2nd ranked USC, Stanford is back on the field as it begins its road games. The Cardinal starts the season ranked 21st, but eventually jumped to 8th after a 21-14 win over the Trojans.

The win against USC proved that Stanford is still a force to reckon with in college football. A lot of analyst has thought the Cardinal will suffer this season after their celebrated QB Andrew Luck was drafted to the NFL and several other Stanford players. It was evident that Stanford bench has a lot of talent that could replace the slots vacated by players who went to the NFL.

Washington Huskies will begin a brutal stretch in their schedule. After playing the Stanford, they will meet No. 2 Oregon and then face the No. 13 USC. However, they must take it one game at a time. The Huskies must device a plan on how to protect their QB Keith Price who has struggled to move the football in their last three consecutive losses against Stanford.

The college football handicappers have installed the Stanford Cardinal as a 7-point favorite to beat the Washington Huskies on Thursday night. Stanford might be rusty after a two week rest; Washington may sneak behind them and score a major upset.
