Cotton Bowl Classic (College Football Playoff Semifinal): (3) Notre Dame vs. (2) Clemson December 27, 2018 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, two undefeated college football teams will go up against each other in the Cotton Bowl Classic. This bowl game is the semifinal match in the College Football Playoff this season. It will be No. 2 Clemson Tigers (13-0) against No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (12-0) will meet for a spot in the National Championship on January 5.

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas will host the match at 4PM ET. Notre Dame is a tough team to beat in a close game. They handle the ball very well which minimize their mistakes and always play within their offensive and defensive scheme. The Fighting Irish is like a well-oiled machine that handles their game in a precise and methodical manner.

Clemson's highly rated defense will be tested in this game. The Tigers have a knack in finding their opponent's weakness and exploit it during the match. However, Notre Dame is a different team from the ones they have met. Clemson must be ready for everything that Notre Dame will give them on Saturday.

Notre Dame's defense will also be tested by Clemson's rookie QB Trevor Lawrence and RB Travies Etienne. These two players have paved the way for the Tigers as one of the top offenses in the nation. The sportsbook handicappers have installed Clemson as a 12.5-point favorite to beat Notre Dame on Saturday.
