Located in Perth, Belmont Park Racecourse is the second major racing venue available in the state of Western Australia.
It features both Horse racing and Harness racing. Belmont Park has been in operation since the early 1900s thanks to the Western Australian Trotting Association.
It features a few important Group 3 races during May and June but doesn't hold any Group 1 or 2 at this stage.
Overall, Belmont Park Racecourse measures 1699 metres in circumference and has a 333 metre home straight.
The track is well known as a popular Winter track in Perth and is widely considered as one of the best tracks for drainage in Australia.
It's also well designed for spectators with enclosed facilities to ensure a great day out at Belmont Park.
December 1910 marked the initial Harness Race held at the venue.
The track also has an interesting past having been used as the location for the first flight in Western Australia. It was used as a landing area until 1919.
