Rosehill Gardens Racecourse

Rosehill Racecourse is a popular Horse Racing venue that is located in New South Wales, Australia.

Along with Royal Randwick, Rosehill is a premier location for Racing in the state.

Race meetings have been in operation at the track since 1885 and it features some high-quality Racing.

The track is arguably most known for the Golden Slipper Stakes in April every year.

Rosehill Racecourse Track Details

The total circumference of Rosehill is 2048 metres and it features a fairly long home straight at 408 metres.

It's primarily used for Horse Racing during Autumn and Spring. It's a grass surface track.


Rosehill Racecourse History

The history of Rosehill Racecourse dates back to 1883 when John Bennett started construction of the track after purchasing the land area.

He also built a railway line that would allow spectators to easily visit the track.

From 1943 until 2011, the track was managed by the Sydney Turf Club.

Then from 2011 onwards, the newly formed Australian Turf Club currently manages the track.
