This event was first held in 1979 and has attracted the best players from across the globe and has captivated a massive support from avid fans. Legendary Greg Norman amassed six gold jackets from 1981 to 1990 in this tournament.

Last year, Stuart Appleby equaled a tournament low, 6-under 65 to finisht at 10-under and earned the win by beating Adam Bland and Daniel Gaunt.

Top-ranked Luke Donald, the first player to sweep the money titles on the PGA Tour and European Tour will play in this event together with compatriot Ian Poulter.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Luke Donald as the favorite to win the JBWere Masters. However, Geoff Ogilvy, Robert Allenby and John Senden are the other probable golfers that could give Donald a tough day.
