2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series:Quaker State 400July 05, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the NASCAR Sprint Cup series moves to Kentucky for the Quaker State 400. The race event will be held at the 1.5-mile D-shaped Kentucky Speedway and set to begin at 7:30PM ET.

Last week, David Ragan redeemed himself at the Daytona International Speedway by winning the Coke Zero 400. Five months ago, he gave away his chance to win the Daytona 500 when he changed lanes before the start/finish line on a restart and was handed out a penalty from NASCAR.

Kevin Harvick dislodged Carl Edwards in 1st place with 586 points under his belt. The other top 12 notable drivers in the standings are: Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Newman, Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Carl Edwards as the favorite to win the Quaker State 400. A win by Edwards this Saturday will again moved him up at the top spot. However, the likes of Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch could give him a tough time this Saturday night.
