2011 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals Game 5:Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta HawksMay 10, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Chicago Bulls hosts Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at the United Center in Chicago, IL. Game time is set at 8:00PM ET and the series is tied, 2-2.

The Chicago Bulls are finding it hard to dispose the Atlanta Hawks in their semifinals matchup. The series is now down to a best-of-three, whoever wins Game 5 has now the upper hand to close out the series on the next game.

MVP Derrick Rose has been doing all the work for the Bulls. He needs help especially when the game is on the line. Kyle Korver and Luol Deng must bring their perimeter game to help Rose in managing his minutes. Also, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah must hold bring their high-energy defense and superb rebounding skills in Game 5.

The Atlanta Hawks are once again making a name for themselves in the playoffs. First, they eliminated the Orlando Magic and now they are making the top ranked Chicago Bulls sweat it out in their first four games of their semifinal series.

The Hawks are the hungrier team in Game 4. They played harder, got loose balls and were resilient during crunch time. The Hawks must play again this kind of basketball to have a chance for an upset win in Game 5.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Chicago Bulls as an 8.5-point favorite to win against the Atlanta Hawks. It would be added pressure for the Bulls to protect their homecourt. While the Hawks are trying to send a message that they can beat an elite team.
