2011 NBA Western Conference Semifinals Game 5:Oklahoma City Thunder vs.
Memphis GrizzliesMay 11, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Wednesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder faces the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Game time is set at 930PM ET at the Oklahoma City Arena.

With the Dallas Mavericks waiting for their Western Conference Finals' opponent, both Thunder and Grizzlies are still slugging with their series tied a 2-game a piece. Game 4 proved to be the best game in the playoffs this year as it went to 3OTs that featured a lot of clutch plays and unwavering hunger for both teams.

In this series, both teams have managed to win on the road. Playing infront of their home fans does not guarantee an easy win for the host team.

The Thunder and Grizzlies are almost even in terms points scored, steals, blocks and 3-point shooting percentage. However, Oklahoma holds a slight edge in FG and FT shooting percentage. But, Memphis counteracts this deficit by grabbing more offensive rebounds which leads to 2nd chance points.

This match up goes to a best-of-three series, winning Game 5 is pivotal for either team. Whoever grabs a 3-2 lead will have the momentum and control in series.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Oklahoma City Thunder as a 6.5-point favorite to beat the Memphis Grizzlies. No lead is safe in this series which was evident in their last game. Whoever is hungrier between the two teams will eventually win Game 5.
