2012 AFC Wild Card Game:Pittsburgh Steelers vs.
Denver BroncosJanuary 04, 2012 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, the Denver Broncos host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card Weekend game. The Broncos will have home-field advantage in this game after winning the AFC West division title. Kick-off is set at 4:30PM ET.

The Broncos return in the playoffs after a six year absence. However, they have lost their last three games and will meet a battle tested Steelers. Denver advanced in the playoffs after winning the tie-breaker between the Raiders, Charger who all finished with identical 8-8 win-loss record.

The Broncos must rid of their stagnant offense during their last three games. QB Tim Tebow was not his usual self in their three losses. If they can't fix their problem during the game, it will be a short postseason ride for them.

Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers' 12-4 record, they are a pretty banged up them going in the playoffs. Their latest casualty is RB Rashard Mendenhall who injured his knee in their last game. He is ruled out throughout the playoffs and RB Isaac Redman will fill his spot.

QB Ben Roethlisberger is not completely healed from an ankle injury. But the Steelers expect him to play this Sunday. He is a tough guy and everybody knows he can elevate his game while playing hurt.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Pittsburgh Steelers as a 9-point favorite the beat the Denver Broncos. If the Broncos' offensive line could protect QB Tim Tebow throughout the game, they may have a chance to score an upset win.
