College Football Week 9:Clemson Tigers vs.
Wake Forest Demon DeaconsOctober 23, 2011 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons face 14th-ranked Clemson Tigers in an ACC Atlantic division college football matchup. Kickoff is set to start at 730PM ET and the game will be held at Groves Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This season, the Clemson Tigers have relied heavily in their superb offensive abilities to bolster their overall record to 6-1 and conference record to 3-1. They have won against Auburn, Ball State, Furman, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Their lone loss was against 4th-ranked Florida State.

However, it was in their last game against Virginia Tech that the Tigers finally won a game by using their porous defense by holding of the Hokies to 17 points throughout the game.

Wake Forest halted their three-game conference losing streak by scoring a 16-10 victory over Virginia last Saturday. They are no longer gunning for a BCS slot but the Demon Deacons would like also to end their losing skid against Clemson.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Clemson Tigers as a 12.5-point favorite to beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Thursday night. If Clemson got overconfident in the game expect Wake Forest to snatch an upset win.
