2012 FIA Formula One:Singapore Grand Prix

On Sunday, the Formula One Championship moves to its Asian leg as the Marina Bay Street Circuit hosts the Singapore Grand Prix. The 61-lap night race will have a total race distance of 309.316km and each lap will have a circuit length of 5.073km. The race will start at 8:00PM Singapore time.

McLaren-Mercedes has developed a fast and reliable F1 car by winning the last three Grand Prix in Hungary, Belgium and Italy. Both Ferrari and Red Bull Racing-Renault are still finding the right set up that could catch up with the McLaren-Mercedes' F1 cars.

Lewis Hamilton won his 3rd Grand Prix race at the Italian Grand Prix. He is tied with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso with the most wins this 2012 season. In the driver's standings, Fernando Alonso still leads with 179 points, followed by Lewis Hamilton with 142 points. Defending champion Sebastian Vettel sits at 4th place with 140 points.

At the Constructor's championship, Red Bull Racing-Renault still leads with 272 points, chipping away their lead was 2nd placer McLaren-Mercedes with 243 points. Team Ferrari sits at distant third with 226 points.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Lewis Hamilton as the favorite the win the Singapore Grand Prix. Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button looms as his fiercest competition this coming Sunday.
