2012 National Hockey League Matchup:NY Islanders vs. Pittsburgh PenguinsMarch 27, 2012 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the NY Islanders travel to Pennsylvania to play the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game will start 7PM ET at the CONSOL Energy Center.

The Pittsburgh Penguins has a 10-game winning streak at their home arena. A win against the Islanders will moved the Penguins at the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Pittsburgh enjoyed their best stretch of the season without Sidney Crosby.

With Sidney Crosby back in the lineup, he added another scoring threat for the Penguins. He has two goals and 11 assists in seven games back from his latest concussion and neck injury.

The home game winning streak of the Penguins does not bode well for the Islanders. New York has not won in Pittsburgh in more than four years. The game against the Penguins is the last stop of the Islanders' 5-game road trip.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Pittsburgh Penguins as a 1.5-point favorite to beat New York Islanders. If the Islanders work hard on both ends of the rink, they may have a chance to beat the Penguins' drive for their 11 straight win.
