2012 NFL Season Week 6:Pittsburgh Steelers vs.
Tennessee TitansOctober 09, 2012 by Mark Jerbs

On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Steelers faces the Tennessee Titans for an AFC North and South division match up. The Titans will host the game at LP Field in Nashville, TN. Game time is set at 8:20PM ET.

The Tennessee Titans are in last place in the AFC South division with a 1-4 record. In their last game, they were beaten badly by the Minnesota, 30-7. With starting QB Jake Locker injured, the Titans were forced to resort to the running game of Chris Johnson.

The Titans must regroup at home when they face the Steelers. They must play with pride and defend much better. QB Matt Hasselbeck will start against Pittsburgh as Tennessee waits the return of Jake Locker from a separated shoulder injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers currently sits at 3rd place in the AFC North division with a 2-2 record. In Week 5, QB Ben Roethlisberger engineered another comeback in the payoff period as he led the Steelers to a 16-14 win against Philadelphia.

RB Rashard Mendenhall played his 1st game of the season and showed no effects of his surgically repaired right knee. With Mendenhall's return, expect the Steelers to have their passing and running game in full sync as they face the Titans.

he sportsbook handicappers have installed the Pittsburgh Steelers as a 5-point favorite to beat the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. This could be a long night for the Titans if they fail to stop the passing game of QB Ben Roethlisberger.
