2013 Capital One Cup Semifinals:Chelsea vs. Swansea
January 09, 2013 by Marc Jerbs

On Wednesday, the Chelsea will host the 1st leg of the Capital One Cup semifinals at Stamford Bridge, England. Game time is set at 19:45PM local time.

Chelsea captain John Terry is still doubtful if he could return to the lineup against Swansea. He got injured last November 11 after a serious collision with Liverpool's Luis Suarez. Terry is now training at the complex and could possibly play in a tune up game with Chelsea's under-21 team.

Three other players would not be with Chelsea for the first leg. Peter Cech, Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel will be out as well on game day.

Interim manager Rafael Benitez knows that Swansea could give them a tough match.

Swansea likes their chances on playing the 1st leg on the road. The club wants to win at Stamford Bridge, but a tie would also be beneficial since the 2nd leg will now be held at Swansea's home field. Swansea knows that it is difficult to beat a team like Chelsea but Michael Laudrup believes on his team's chances.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Chelsea as the favorite to beat Swansea in the Capital One Cup 1st leg semifinals.
