On Thursday, the NFL Preseason Week 1 formally opens with six exciting football games. These games will feature the new and old players of each. All rookies are expected to play in these preseason games to show the fans the talent and expectation they will bring to their teams.

The first game on schedule is between the defending SuperBowl champion Baltimore Ravens against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa will have the first crack on how they will fare against Baltimore which would be useful once the season opens in September.

The first match of the preseason will start at 7:30PM ET. It will be held at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium. Expect each team's starting player to play sparingly to avoid unnecessary injuries.

The other games on hand for this day are the Washington Redskins at Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams at Cleveland Brown, Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcon, Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks at San Diego Chargers.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a 3.5-point favorite to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.
