2013 QIPCO British Champions Day

On Saturday, racing aficionados all over the world will focus their attention at the QIPCO British Champions Day. The QIPCO British Champions Day is considered as the richest day in British horse racing.

A total of £3.4 million prize money is on offer across the final races in each of the five categories in the QIPCO British Champions Day. The five races includes ThE QIPCO Champions Stakes, The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, The QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes, The QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes and The QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup.

Among the five races, the QIPCO Champion Stakes emerges as the most prestigious with £1.3 million in prize money. The race is run over 1 mile and 2 furlongs of the Ascot Racecourse.

A total of 15 horses participate in the QIPCO Champion Stakes. 2011 QIPCO Champion Stakes winner Cirrus des Aigles will try again to win for the 2nd time. Cirrus des Aigles attempt for a back-to-back win was derailed by the undefeated Frankel last year.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Cirrus Des Aigles as the race favorite to win the QIPCO Champion Stakes. Declaration of War, Farhh, Mukhadram, Hillstar and Sky Lantern are among the challengers of Cirrus Des Aigles.
