2014 College Basketball March Madness:Sweet 16March 25, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Sweet 16 of the College Basketball March Madness officially begins with only 16 teams left to vie for the College Basketball National Championship title.

It was a whirlwind competition from the first round up to the third round. A lot of higher seeded teams were vanquished in the first round alone. Colorado, VCU, New Mexico, Cincinnati, Massachusetts and Duke did not make it to the second round.

The first game of the Sweet 16 round will pit 11th seed Dayton against 10th Stanford in the South Region at 7:15PM ET. Up next will pit 2nd seed Wisconsin against 6th seed Baylor in the West Region at 7:47PM ET.

The third game will follow at 9:45PM ET which will feature 4th ranked UCLA against top seed Florida in the South Region. It will be followed by top ranked Arizona against San Diego State in the West Region at 10:17PM ET.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Stanford, Wisconsin, Florida and Arizona as the favorites to advance to the Elite 8 of the College Basketball March Madness tournament.
