2014 Formula One Racing:Japanese Grand Prix
October 01, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Sunday, F1 Racing goes to the Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka, Japan for the Japanese Grand Prix. The 53-lap race will cover a total race distance of 307.471km. The fastest lap record of 1 min and 31.540 seconds was established in 2005 by Kimi Raikonnen.

With 7 Grand Prix race wins this season, Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton moved up again into 1st place to dislodged teammate Nico Rosberg into 2nd place. His teammate briefly held the top position in the driver's standings but Hamilton managed to put up two consecutive wins in Italy and Singapore to move on top.

Nico Rosberg is not far behind teammate Lewis Hamilton. Both drivers are separated by 3 points with 5 races left in the F1 calendar. The Mercedes team has flatly dominated the competition this season. Their car package has the speed and durability that other competitors could not rival.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton as the favorite to the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday. Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo are among his strongest competitors in the race.
