2014 Brisbane Horse Racing: Queensland Oaks

On Saturday, the Brisbane Racing Club will host the Queensland Oaks at the Eagle Farm Racecourse in Brisbane, Australia. It is a Group 1 race for three year old fillies at set weights and run over a distance of 2400 metres.

A total prize money of A$400,000 was set for the race. The race winner will receive a huge chunk of the prize money set at A$256,000. Second placer will get A$80,000 and third place with A$40,000.

Last year, Rhys Mcleod-trained Gondokoro won the race with a time of 2 mins and 32.1 seconds. Another set of thoroughbred will compete for Saturday's race. The set weight for this race is set at 56.5kg.

The 18-field horse race will feature great thoroughbred horses such as Arabian Gold, Tinto, Every Faith and Khutulun. The horse race handicappers have installed Arabian Gold as the horse to beat on Saturday's Queensland Oaks.
