2014 MLB Season:Miami Marlins at Pittsburgh PiratesAugust 05, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Miami Marlins in a three-game series at the PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The first game of the series will start at 7:05PM ET.

Pittsburgh will have their next eight games at home. Current NL MVP Andrew McCutchen's status is uncertain after having a discomfort in his left side after hitting a sacrifice fly in their last game against Arizona.

The Pirates are coming of a 5-5 road trip and are to play their next eight games at home. They have won 14 of their last 17 homes games with their starting pitchers posting a 2.51 ERA.

Miami have dropped four of their last five games. Manager Mike Redmond knows that his team is a little banged up. He believes their one day off since the All-Star break could refresh his team before they face the Marlins.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Pittsburgh Pirates as the favorite to beat the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.
