2014 NBA Finals (Game 1):Miami Heat at San Antonio SpursJune 03, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the San Antonio Spurs will host Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat. Game time is set at 9PM ET at the AT&T Center. The NBA Finals will now follow the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

It will be a rematch of last year's finals wherein Miami snatched the championship away from San Antonio behind Ray Allen's game-tying 3-point shot that led to an OT win in Game 6.

San Antonio worked hard for the home court advantage by posting the best overall record this season. The Spurs still have a sour taste in their mouth after a bitter loss against the Miami Heat last year. They want to face Miami again and confident that they will win the Larry O' Brien trophy this time.

The Miami Heat will seek their third consecutive NBA title. Lebron, DWade and CB know that the Spurs are motivated to deny the Big 3 of their three-peat mission. Winning their 3 straight NBA title will further cement the legacy of Miami's Big 3.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the San Antonio Spurs as a 3.5-point favorite to beat the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
