2014 NBA Game:San Antonio Spurs vs.
Houston RocketsJanuary 28, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Houston Rockets will face the San Antonio Spurs in their 3rd match up of the regular season at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Game time is set at 8PM ET.

The Spurs holds a five-game lead over the Rockets in the Southwest Division in the Western Conference. San Antonio owns the best road record, 16-4. However, their six game road winning streak was snapped in their last game in a 113-101 loss to Miami.

San Antonio will try to avoid losing consecutive games for the first time this season. Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Tiago Splitter are doubtful to play in this game as they are nursing injuries.

The Houston Rockets are reeling on back-to-back losses against the Memphis Grizzlies. They own the league's best shooting percentage as a team at 47 percent. However, in both losses they only shot 38.8 percent and were equally dismal in the 3-point area.

Facing the Spurs could help the Rockets to get back on track. Falling against the Spurs would mark the first three game losing streak of the season.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Houston Rockets as a 1.5-point favorite to beat the San Antonio Spurs.
