2014 NBA Season:Phoenix Suns at LA LakersNovember 04, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the LA Lakers will host the Phoenix Suns in their 2nd season match up of the 2014 NBA Season. Game time is 10:30PM ET at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA.

The Phoenix Suns routed the LA Lakers in their home opener last October 29, 119-99. Phoenix scorched Los Angeles with a whopping 54.9% FG shooting and scattered 16 3-pointers throughout the game.

The trio of Marcus Morris, Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic delivered the killer blows on the Lakers' early demise. The Suns' defense also created problem for the Lakers as they were held to 43% FG shooting.

With a 2-1 record in the Pacific Division, Phoenix will take another shot on the reeling LA Lakers. The Lakers are mired in a 4-game losing streak and are off to their worst start since 1957. Kobe Bryant struggled in his first four games after a long hiatus last season. He's shooting 41.2% plus newcomers Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin are playing sub-par during the losing streak.

It is still early in the season for the Lakers to press the panic button. They must improve their overall defense as they allowed a league-high 118 points per game in their first four games. Expect Kobe to carry again the offense for the Lakers but his teammates must also contribute as he can't do it all alone.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Phoenix Suns as a 6-point favorite to beat the LA Lakers on Tuesday night.
