2014 NFL Opening Season Game:Green Bay Packers at Seattle SeahawksSeptember 02, 2014 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks will host the NFL opening season game at the CenturyLink Field against the Green Bay Packers. Kick off is set at 8:30PM ET.

The Green Bay Packers will kick of their season against the Super Bowl champs. Green Bay has performed during the preseason games and a lot is expected to unveil their revamped high-octane offense. QB Aaron Rodgers has fully recovered from his injury riddled season last year.

The Seattle Seahawks main goal this season is to stay healthy and play their top rank defense from Week 1 to Week 17. It was their defense that made them as Super Bowl champions last season. If they could display the same energy and tenacity this season, expect Seattle to contend again at Super Bowl XLIX.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Seattle Seahawks as a 6-point favorite to beat the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.
