On Wednesday, 3rd ranked Stan Wawrinka will face 10th ranked Kei Nishikori at Arthur Ashe Stadium in one of two scheduled quarterfinal matches in the Men' Singles competition. Top ranked Novak Djokovic will go up against 8th ranked Andy Murray in the evening. The winners of these two matches will advance in the semifinal round.
At the Women's Singles competition, 16th ranked Victoria Azarenka will go up against 17th ranked Ekaterina Makarova while top seed Serena Williams will play 11th ranked Flavia Pennetta for a spot in the semifinal round.
