2015 College Basketball:Alabama vs. XavierNovember 26, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Thanksgiving Day, 23rd ranked Xavier will face Alabama in the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando, Florida. Game time is set at 1AM CT and will be played at the HP Field House.

It is a 3-day tournament between selected Mountain West and ACC teams. This season, the teams who join Alabama and Xavier are Notre Dame, USC, Wichita State, Dayton, Iowa and Monmouth.

Xavier cracked the top 25 ranking in College Basketball after impressive wins against Missouri and Michigan. Coach Chris Mack was not happy with his men after a 78-66 win over Northern Kentucky to notch their 3rd win of the season. He cited the lack of energy and effort by his players during the game. The depth and balance of Xavier was enough to stay unbeaten in last Monday's game.

Alabama is well rested since November 20. After a humiliating loss against Dayton, the Crimson Tide bounced back with a 78-51 rout of Louisiana-Lafayette to improve its record to 2-1. Alabama has a core of young players that must improve their mental toughness when they face tough and seasoned college teams.

The college basketball handicappers have installed Xavier as a 10.5-point favorite to beat Alabama on Thursday.
