2015 European / PGA Tour:WGC - Bridgestone Invitational

The Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio will host the WGC - Bridgestone Invitationl from August 6 to 9. Seventy-seven golfers from the US, European and Asia will compete for the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational title.

Defending champion Rory McIlory and fellow European Alex Noren are eligible to play in the tournament but both will not play as they failed to recover in time from ankle and rib injuries.

A total of 35 European golfers will participate seven of them will make their debut in the tournament. Marc Warren booked his entry to the tournament after moving up in the World Rankings from 71st to 49th place. The golfers that will make their debut are Byeong Hun An, Andrew Dodt, Brooks Koepka, Anirban Lahiri, David Lipsky and Gary Stal.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Jordan Spieth as the odds on favorite to win the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational. Jason Day, Adam Scott and Justin Rose are among his strongest challengers.
