2015 NBA Finals:Golden State Warriors vs.
Cleveland CavaliersJune 02, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors will host the Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals at the ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California. The Warriors has the home court advantage over the Cavaliers.

The Golden State Warriors reached the NBA Finals by virtually beating the best teams in the Western Conference that stood in their way. MVP Stephen Curry carried his regular season torrid shooting streak into the playoffs.

Golden State will try to bring back the Larry O'Brien to the Bay Area after 40 years. The franchise last won the NBA Finals in 1975. One major concern for the Warriors is Klay Thompson. He suffered a concussion in Game 5 of the Western Conference Championship. Klay Thompson must be cleared to play by the NBA sanctioned doctors.

Lebron James booked his 5th straight NBA Finals appearance and will lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to earn their first Larry O'Brien trophy in the franchise history. This was his goal on why he came back to Cleveland during the free agency period after a successful championship run in Miami with his buddy Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

Cleveland has injuries in their lineup during their playoff run. Kevin Love suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the Cavaliers first round encounter with the Boston Celtics. Kyrie Irving has been in and out of the starting lineup due to his knee tendinitis.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Golden State Warriors as a 6-point favorite to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
