January 07, 2016 by Marc Jerbs

On Thursday, the Glendower Golf Course in Johannesburg, South Africa will host the four-day tournament BMW South African Open. The Glendower Golf Course is a 72-par course with a total length of 7,564 yards from 1st tee up to the 18th hole.

Defending champion Andy Sullivan will tee up alongside Hennie Otto and Scot youngster Daniel Young at 12:10PM local time. Last year, Sullivan twice won in South Africa to finish a career-best eight in the Race To Dubai.

Among the early challenger to Andy Sullivan's title is Branden Grace. The 27-year old's quest is to earn his first win of his career in his homeland. He finished third in last year's Race To Dubai and that fueled a lot of expectations for him to surpass it this season.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed Branden Grace as the favorite to win the BMW South African Open on Sunday afternoon. Defending champion Andy Sullivan, Jaco Van Zyl and Gregory Bourdy are among his strongest challengers on this 4-day tournament.
