2016 NBA Season:Detroit Pistons vs. Miami HeatApril 05, 2015 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Detroit Pistons will visit the AmericanAirlines Arena to face the Miami Heat in an Eastern Conference match-up. Both teams are in hot pursuit to solidify their NBA playoffs position as the regular season is about to end in two weeks. Game time is set at 8PM CT.

Barring a late season collapse, the Detroit Pistons is headed to the playoffs after seven years. Detroit's work is not yet finished as they have a few games left to improve their spot which they share with the Indiana Pacers. They will have back-to-back games starting Tuesday against Miami and Orlando.

The Miami Heat is also in the playoffs and still have a fighting chance to get into 4th place and secure a homecourt advantage in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs. All-Star guard Dwyane Wade sat Miami's last two games as he is out back and neck injuries.

The Detroit Pistons holds a 2-0 record season match-up against the Miami Heat. Both games happened in the last quarter of 2015 and Detroit will face a different Miami team that can easily adapt if one or two of its star players are injured.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Miami Heat as the slight favorite to beat the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.
